One fateful day, Sam was reading a romance novel aloud at a party (like you do). To everyone's dismay, the romance novel was sexist! Totally and completely sexist! "Someone should really write a feminist romance novel," they said. And thus, the show was born. After about a year, the script was complete! They read it aloud (doing all the voices, naturally) and decided it needed at least four more years of work. In 2017, after many, many rewrites, Ben, Leah, and Sam teamed up with Director Jenna Worden to workshop the show in at a sold-out, one-time performance at Improv Boston. The show was a blast and generated valuable feedback to inform the final rewrite of the script, which was performed in March, 2019, in a sold-out run at ImprovBoston. Today, the CatStache team is excited to share their hard work with the world, and make you laugh your butt off. |
